We want to make sure you receive the best possible care from the right healthcare professional. Before requesting a GP appointment—whether urgent or routine—please review the services below. Many conditions can be treated more quickly and effectively through other routes.

If you request a GP appointment and your issue is more appropriate for one of the services listed below, you may be redirected.

  • A&E

    Call 999 or go to A&E if you are experiencing- Loss of consciousness, severe allergic reaction, severe burns or scalds, choking, chest pain, stroke, breathing difficulties, blood loss, major trauma.

  • Community Urgent Eyecare Service

    Red or painful eyes/eyelids, sudden flashes and floaters, recent and sudden vision loss, foreign body in the eye.

  • Pharmacy First Scheme

    Urinary tract infection (UTI), shingles, impetigo, infected insect bites, acute sore throat, acute sinustis, acute middle ear infection (ottis media).

  • Pharmacy Services

    Blood pressure checks, Contraception.

  • Pharmacy Minor Ailments

    Conjunctivitis, cystitis, coughs, colds, earache, hearing problems, stomache/bowel problems, sleep disturbance, acute limp pain or swelling, mouth and throat problems.

  • Minor Injuries

    Sprains and minor fractures, minor burns or scalds, cuts, grazes and bruises.

  • Sexual And Reproductive Health & Early Pregnancy Complications

    Early pregnancy abdominal pain or bleeding (EPAU – self referral call 01612912561). STI’s, Coil, Pregnancy related problems.

  • Self-Care

    From coughs, colds and sore throats to upset stomachs, aches and pains, self-care at home is the best choice to treat every minor illnesses and ailments

  • Medical’s

    HGV Medicals, Foster/Adoption Medicals, Taxi Driver Medicals.

  • Test results

    Check your results by contacting reception

  • Travel

    Get expert travel advice and preventative care from our nurses.

  • ADHD and Autism Enquires

    Right to choose, shared cared, ADHD in children.

  • Administration Requests

    Repeat sick notes, private referral requests, letters (e.g fit to fly), fit to participate in sporting activities.
