Cervical Smears

Smears allow us to detect changes in the cervix which can sometimes lead to cancer. These changes can be treated and cancer prevented. We suggest you have a smear every three years from when you become sexually active until you are 65.

Breast Self Examination

Most breast lumps are discovered by women themselves. Leaflets and advice on how to check your breasts are available at the surgery.

Mammograms (X-ray Of Breasts)

Women aged 50 to 64 years are advised to have a mammogram every three years. Very early cancers can be detected by mammogram.
